New! Registration starts at 8:00 Rides start at 9:00 sharp. Next show July 20th at Eddy Ranch.  Signup early, and save time in the morning for yourself, and your volunteers who run the shows. See our signup page under shows.
HEAT With the recent heat wave, we all need to remember to make sure our horses are getting enough water at the shows. Please offer water after each event. You might even want to consider bringing some paste electrolytes to the show in case your horse gets dehydrated.
DISTRICT 9 YEAR END AWARDS Now is the time to sign up for District 9 Year End Awards. Last opportunity will be July 20th show. This program is totally separate from CGA State Awards Programs. We award custom-made prizes to everyone who signs up if you’ve ridden at least two shows during our year (Aug 07-Jul 08). Our awards are based on a combination of participation and points earned during the year at District 9 shows – so everyone wins!!! Cost is $30. Make sure you fill out a Year End Sign Up Sheet (it’s pink!) and pay in!! Current applications received as of 7/10/08 are from: Kaylee Anzalone, Rachel Crill, Sue Duggan, Shelly Hart, Nikki Gorman, Katelyn Praly, Chris Rice, Alex Rice, Rachael Shupe, Janie Strang and Keisha Williams. If you’re not one of these people, make sure and sign up at the show!!!!
START TIME! 9AM Remember our new start time at 9AM sharp! This means that signups start at 8am and any help setting up is always appreciated.

RAFFLE Please continue to bring raffle items for our table. It really helps out the district.
STATE SHOW – help needed Our district is responsible for running Speed Barrels on Saturday, July 26th for setups, as well as Tuesday, July 29th. Please come down to Hollister even if you’re not riding at State Show to help for the day. Please let Rebekah know if you are planning on coming to help.
Directions to Eddy: 14772 Bear Creek Road Continue through stop sign in Boulder Creek for ¼ mile. Turn right on Bear Creek Road Go approximately 2.5 miles. Ranch is on left.
There will be a cardboard sign about 50 yards before the turn – slow down when you get to a long straightaway and turn left into the pasture.

Dist. #9 is always looking for high point sponsors! We are always interested in providing the riders with great high point awards and awesome raffle prizes.Their donation will get them mentioned in the CGA State newsletter, listed on our event notifications to all of our District 9 members with their name and contact information, a prominent place on our website with their contact information as well as recognition at the show they sponsor. Any banners or business cards they may wish to display are welcome at all shows for all to see.
Please network with businesses and individuals that might be interested in donating items or money to our club
We now have our non-profit number and are registered with the state as a 501(c)6 non-profit corporation which means that any donations may be written off as advertising expense.
